– arrived the famous Tapan road, stop the first location as saw the whistling-thrush on the road and not long heard a not so familiar call and soon Dwi say it is a babbler and make some small effort to have it in view and not so open photo due to very lowlight. In the noon time very soon we have another chance to photograph it ..

– 到达鸟点（其实不是什么鸟点，就是条64公里的森林边的路）我们第一停下来，因为看到苏门答腊啸鸫。附近就听到我不很熟悉的声音，很快的Dwi 讲是鹛。也不容易的看到，当然也不好拍。。动作快+暗。在中午回程中，还好给个机会在听到。这次就好好拿下。

– 矶鸫属小型鸟类，体长17-18厘米。雄鸟头顶和翅上覆羽钴蓝色，背、两翅和尾黑色具白色翅斑，腰和下体栗色，喉白色。雌鸟上体橄榄褐色具黑色鳞状斑，两翅和尾灰褐色，头顶灰褐色，喉白色，其余下体棕白色具黑色鳞状斑。特征均很明显，野外不难识别。

A glossy-black starling with a rounded crest and prominent pale markings on cheeks and breast sides. Juvenile dark brown with a pale underside. Inhabits canopy of forest, forest edge, and nearby degraded areas within lowlands and foothills, typically in pairs or small groups. Distinguished from Short-tailed and Asian Glossy Starlings by large-headed appearance (due to crest) and conspicuous pale patches in plumage. Calls include a clear, metallic, piercing “tzew” and “tzip” as well as “zowee” notes; also gives quiet buzzy warbles. [EBird]

An unmistakable long-tailed, black-and-white myna. Black except for broad white breast band and collar. South Sulawesi form has a pale-tipped bill; in north, bill is entirely dark. Juveniles less glossy and shorter-tailed than adults. Found in pairs or small groups in canopy of forest and forest edge in lowlands and foothills. Often perches out on prominent dead branches. Restricted to Sulawesi, satellite islands, and Togian Islands. Gives a variety of odd calls, including high-pitched piercing “keer,” soft low-pitched “kyop,” and other whistles and metallic notes. An eye-catching white starling with black tips to the tail and wings, bare blue facial skin, and long plumes that hang down the nape. Juvenile is shorter-crested than adult, with yellow wash. Found in small groups in open forest, where it spends time in the trees and foraging on the ground. Avoids dense forest. Restricted to northwest Bali. Differs from Black-winged Starling in having the black on the wings confined to tips, and in showing blue facial skin. Song is an untidy jumble of scratchy, chattering notes and whistles. [Ebird]

长冠八哥（学名：Leucopsar rothschildi）：是一种大型椋鸟，体长约25厘米，雌雄相似，外形俊朗，羽冠发达，眼睛四周和面部裸出，裸露部分为蓝色，全身羽毛纯白色，尾部和翼端的边缘呈黑色，脚灰色。全身白色，具较长冠羽，羽冠不像一些羽冠发达的鸟类复杂多变，却十分有特点，有丝带状的羽冠简洁随意飘洒。1910年由英国鸟类学家沃尔特·罗斯柴尔德（Walter Rothschild）命名。^[1]

通常栖息在海岸附近长有长草的草原，喜欢三五成群聚居在林地，求偶时雄鸟会竖起冠羽，不断地上下摆动头部。群居，在树上觅食果实和昆虫。因分布区狭，栖息地遭到破坏，野生种群数量稀少，是椋鸟中最罕有物种处境岌岌可危，依然沦落为世界上极危鸟种。分布于印度尼西亚巴厘岛。

– 铜翅水雉（学名：Metopidius indicus）雉鸻科铜翅水雉属的一种物种，是小型涉禽，体长28-31厘米。头颈、下体黑色，具金属色辉。从眼到颈有白色纵纹，背、内侧初级一飞羽橄榄铜绿色，尾下覆羽栗色。跗蹠的前后均有盾状鳞，趾、爪均甚长，后爪特别长。栖息于热带开阔的田坝区，单个或成对在沼泽湿地中活动觅食。捕食昆虫、蜗牛、小鱼和水生植物。配偶为一雌多雄制，雌鸟常常拥有很多个雄鸟。雄鸟的领域性极强，常常为保卫领域而彼此争斗。7-8月产卵，巢用杂草铺垫而成，每窝产卵4枚。

栖息于富有挺水植物或飘浮植物的淡水湖泊、水库和水塘中，有时也出现于湿草地和水稻田中。留鸟，白天活动，大多单独活动，非繁殖期也常集成小群。行动轻巧而灵活。主要吃昆虫和蜗牛等软体动物，以及水生植物的叶和芽等。分布于印度、缅甸、泰国、越南、马来半岛、印度尼西亚和中国。

– common, widespread, like to roosting big group in same area

Adults have a black crown and back with the remainder of the body white or grey, red eyes, and short yellow legs. They have pale grey wings and white under parts. Two or three long white plumes, erected in greeting and courtship displays, extend from the back of the head. The sexes are similar in appearance although the males are slightly larger. Black-crowned night herons do not fit the typical body form of the heron family. They are relatively stocky with shorter bills, legs, and necks than their more familiar cousins, the egrets and “day” herons. Their resting posture is normally somewhat hunched but when hunting they extend their necks and look more like other wading birds.

Immature birds have dull grey-brown plumage on their heads, wings, and backs, with numerous pale spots. Their underparts are paler and streaked with brown. The young birds have orange eyes and duller yellowish-green legs. They are very noisy birds in their nesting colonies, with calls that are commonly transcribed as quok or woc.

属小型涉禽。嘴峰长度与头等长，端部稍微隆起。鼻孔线形，位于鼻沟内，鼻沟约等于嘴长的2/3。翅尖形。后趾细小或缺如。跗蹠修长，胫下部亦裸出。中趾最长，趾间具蹼或不具蹼，后趾形小或退化。翅形尖长，第1枚初级飞羽退化，形狭窄，甚短小；第2枚初级飞羽较第3枚长或者等长。三级飞羽特长。尾形短圆，尾羽12枚。是迁徙性鸟类，具有极强的飞行能力。通常沿海岸线、河道迁徙。生活环境多与湿地有关，离不开水。栖息于海滨、岛屿、河滩、湖泊、池塘、沼泽、水田、盐湖等湿地之中。

环颈鸻是鸻形目鸻科鸻属鸟类，又名白领鸻。^[5-6^]成鸟夏羽上体为柔和的沙褐色，下体纯白色；额至眉纹白色，额基和头顶前部黑色；头顶、枕和后颈沙褐色略泛栗色；眼先至耳覆羽有—横带状黑色贯眼纹；翼褐色，覆羽具白缘，飞羽黑褐色具大白斑；尾褐色，带黑色亚端斑和白色端斑；虹膜黑褐色，眼圈暗黄色不显著；喙黑色；脚褐色至暗橙黄色。成鸟冬羽似夏羽，但额基、贯眼纹、颈侧等黑色区域转为褐色，头顶不泛栗红色调。幼鸟羽色似成鸟冬羽，且上体具有浅色羽缘。^[7

环颈鸻分布于欧洲、亚洲、非洲和大洋洲等地，^[8

大绿雀鹎的雄鸟眼先、颊、耳羽酪黄色或亮金黄色，上体橄榄黄绿色，额沾酪黄色，有时头或背杂有少许黑色。尾是覆羽较浅淡。两翅黑褐色或黑色，翅上小覆羽和中覆羽与背同色。初级覆羽和大覆羽外缘具淡绿黄色羽缘。飞羽黑色，尾羽橄榄黄色，下体从颏至尾下覆羽酪黄色或亮金黄色，两胁微沾黄绿色。翼上无浅色横纹，翼缘黄色或黄绿色，翼下覆羽白色。与叶鹎的区的别在下体黄色且下颚蓝灰。雄鸟上体色彩不同，从橄榄绿色至近黑，腰绿色。虹膜灰白色、灰色或棕色，上嘴黑色，下嘴银灰色，脚银灰色。

– as usual, have my casual birding in Kuala Lumpur surrounding forest (cannot cross state due to Pandemic covid-19 lockdown) – lucky day to see ~17 Green Iora (which originally attract my attention), 2 common iora, and 2 Great Iora in the same tree.

– medium size tern, non-breeding plumage sometimes confuse with Whiskered Tern. Obvious “headset” on head

– lucky to see many of them feeding on paddy field, with new Canon EOS R3. It is so easy to photograph tern flying over various backgroup （especially green background which previously most the camera facing lost focus when bird sudden flying to green background. R3 think solve the problem even I still have 10-20% focus the wing instead bird head/eye .. but this could due to the wing flip block the bird head/eye so the camera just focus to the wing. Somehow it is much better than focus to the background instead the bird.

– 幸运的看到一大群鸟在找吃。终于不怕绿背景了。在之前的相机都有走焦问题（当背景突然变绿）。新的佳能 R3,几乎把这个问题减低到最少。（10-20%还是会跑到鸟的翅膀，也有可能是因为翅膀的动作遮挡了鸟眼所以对焦到鸟的翅膀而不是眼睛。可是已比对焦到背景好多了）

– a large tern, black-cap with very long lemon-yellow bill

– 大凤头燕鸥夏羽：前额和眼先白色。头顶至枕黑色，头顶羽毛向后延长，形成冠羽，颜色也为黑色。后颈和翅缘白色。背、肩、翅和尾等上体暗珠灰色。初级飞羽外侧羽缘黑色，内侧也为黑色，但具宽的白色楔形斑，往内楔形斑逐渐缩小，直至消失。次级飞羽内侧和尖端白色。尾暗珠灰色，外侧尾羽较长，且逐渐变尖，尾呈叉状。颏、喉、颈和下体，包括腋羽和翅下覆羽白色。冬羽和夏羽大致相似。但头顶缀有白色纵纹。虹膜暗褐色。嘴黄色。脚黑色。

幼鸟似非繁殖羽，但嘴暗黄色，头顶黑色而缀有褐色，并向头两侧扩展到脸部，上体较暗褐而具白色羽缘，翅内侧具三道暗色横带，一道在翅前缘，一道在大翅覆羽，另一道横跨次级飞羽。尾尖较暗。
